Soon after the introduction of the New Type, this option was rejected. In 1980 the unfeasibility of purchasing local founding bloodlines compelled CABAÑA EL HINOJO to purchase two new bulls in Perth: Newhouse Jewlian Eric 125 th for 5000 guineas, first prize and intermediate reserve champion, bred by Robert M. Adam; and Witbert of Haymount bred by J. y W. Arnott, second prize winner in the same category. Their descendants have enabled CABAÑA EL HINOJO to keep the traditional families and bloodlines of the original Aberdeen Angus breed until nowadays.
